This session is two parts and a special fundraiser for two very important scholarships offered by MĀ Yoga. All proceeds of ticket sales will go to support two scholarships (more about the scholarships can be found below). For the first part of the evening from 5-5:50 PM PST, we will hear from Dr. Maia Love on how to sleep for success. Dr. Love will explore how we can crack the code to a good night's sleep and why this matters.
Sleeping well can supercharge our nervous systems; a good night's sleep can improve memory, concentration, mood, and lessen anxiety. Join me to learn more about the science of sleep, and to educate yourself on how to take preventative measures towards ensuring a good night's sleep for better overall wellness and well-being.

For the second part of the evening from 6-7:15 PM PST, we will get to experience a live stream of MĀ Yoga's restorative and sound experience: "Sound is life. This offering asks the practitioner to slow down and seek support with props so the body feels weightless. The sensations experienced are created with less of an intention on the posture and stretching and more what is experienced when we remove “louder” physical expressions. The opportunity to create space is enhanced by the use of intentional music and sound to subtly vibrate the body."

Join us in this beautiful session that will nurture your mind, body, and spirit so that you can have a restful Sunday night's sleep!

Yoga Education Scholarship

MĀ Yoga is dedicated to providing the highest quality yoga education that is rooted in traditional techniques as well as continuing research that emerges. The inherent link between health, nervous system regulation, and how someone perceives their environment, cannot be ignored. A lack of racial diversity can play a big role in how individuals can drop into the practice of yoga, especially if some of these practices share their own cultural background. Holistic Wellness Scholarship for Trans folks

MĀ Wellness is an integrative clinic that offers traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, counselling and massage therapy. Our scholarship program allows two members from the trans community that are doing gender reassignment surgery to be treated regularly for 12 months. Treatments may include nervous system regulation, scar tissue work, diet therapy, herbal medicine, as well as working with anxiety and depression.
